[Unpad.ac.id, 15/12/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran set a cooperation agreement with Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). The agreement is realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Unpad with SISU at Executive Lounge Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, Thursday (15/12).

The MoU signing was conducted by the Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, with a Vice Chancellor of SISU, Dr. Zhou Cheng. Attending the signing ceremony were Director of Corporate and Academic Cooperation Unpad , Dr. Dwi Purnomo, S.TP., M.T., Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Drs. Yuyu Yohana Risagarniwa, PhD., The FIB level managers, as well as the Head of Indonesian Literature Studies Program Dr. Lina Meilinawati, Hum.
The cooperation of Unpad through the Faculty of Cultural Studies and a SISU has been forged a long while. Since 2005, Prodi Sastra Indonesia had sent lecturers to teach at SISU for one semester. Indonesian Study Program has become one of the courses that are opened at SISU.
In addition to sending lecturers, the SISU regularly sends students and lecturers to study Indonesian at Universitas Padjadjaran. In this case, there are students who take the program sitting in for the lecture in Prodi Sastra Indonesia for 6 months.
There are also one-year program. In this program, students of SISU officially became a student at Padjadjaran Prodi Sastra Indonesia. Students will follow the process of re-registration to take the classes full-time for two semesters.
On the occasion, the Rector appreciated the cooperation with SISU. According to him, the cooperation is expected to be done not only by Prodi Sastra Indonesia, but other courses in FIB or other faculties in Unpad.
In relation to their course of study Bachelor of Applied Languages and Cultures of China recently opened in this academic year, the Rector also hopes to establish cooperation with SISU. In addition to educational cooperation, the MoU also includes cooperation in the development of joint research between Unpad with SISU. *
