[Unpad Media Channel] Students and faculty members of Universitas Padjadjaran’s Nursing master’s degree program have finished a student mobility program to Prince Songkhla University (PSU), Thailand. The program lasted from July 4 to July 8, and included 29 postgraduate students as well as 2 professors from the Faculty of Nursing (FKep).

The Chair of Unpad’s Nursing master’s degree program, Hartiah Haroen, Ph.D., said that the student mobility program aims to further the students’ understanding and familiarity with the healthcare and nursing system in Thailand.

“Students also get to dive deeper into nursing practices in the Thai context, such as intensive care and emergency care, surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, maternity nursing, nursing management and leadership, and community health nursing,” explained Haroen in a release received by Unpad Media Channel.

During their time there, a sharing session was also held between the FKep Unpad and PSU students regarding healthcare and nursing systems in both Indonesia and Thailand. Aside from the visit to PSU, the group also visited hospitals and healthcare facilities in Thailand.

“With the student mobility program, hopefully the Unpad students and faculty members could be motivated further to hone their skills and knowledge, and to contribute to the healthcare system in Indonesia,” said the Dean of Unpad FKep, Prof. Kusman Ibrahim, Ph.D. (arm/ICP)*
