[Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran with the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) conducted a collaborative meeting at the UEH campus, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on February 25th – 26th, 2024. This meeting is a strategic step in strengthening the collaboration among universities that has been initiated through the ASEAN Collaborative Group.
This second meeting by the two universities starts with a warm speech from the President of UEH Prof. Su Din Thanh, followed by the inspirational speech from the Rector of Unpad Prof Rina Indiastuti, who emphasizes the strategic partnerships between Unpad and UEH in enhancing education, research and community services at an international level within each university.
Dr. Kurniawan Saefullah as the Vice-Dean of Unpad’s Faculty of Economics and Business gives specific highlights regarding the partnerships of UEH and Unpad which has been ongoing up to now and has the potential to generate even more intensive collaboration in the future.
The meeting agenda includes a sharing session about the best practices in university management, including university rankings, international accreditation, and quality assurance in higher education institutions.
This meeting is attended by several executive boards from the two institutions to enrich the discussion and potential collaboration between institutions.
One of the meeting’s main focus is a discussion regarding the implementation of the 2024 Joint Conference ACBES, GARCOMBS, and ICONICS, which is an integration of three international events which was organized separately by UEH, Unpad, and Universitas Udayana (Unud) before. The discussion is held in hybrid with the related team.
On the second day, the meeting focuses on the expansion of cooperation between Unpad and UEH, which are the Graduate School of Unpad and the Tourism School of UEH.In the beginning session, the Dean of Graduate School from Unpad, Prof. Dr. med. Setiawan, dr. presents the development strategy of a multidisciplinary program, that is continued by the discussion about professors and students exchange between the two institutions.
