[Unpad Media Channel] Universitas Padjadjaran establishes a cooperation with PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP). The cooperation is implemented by signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the Auditorium of Academic I Building, Unpad’s Faculty of Geological Engineering, Jatinangor, Friday (7/6/2024).
The signing is done by the Rector of Unpad, Prof. Rina Indiastuti, who is represented by the Director of Innovation and Corporation, Dr. Tomy Perdana, S.P., M.M. with the Management of PT IMIP Risto Wasito.
After the signing of the MoU is done, the event continues with the presentation of the Public Lecture of IMIP Lecture Series titled “Developing Indonesian Talents in the Mineral-Metal Downstream Sector in Indonesia”.
In his speech, Prof. Tomy expresses gratitude for the cooperation between Unpad and PT IMIP. Prof. Tomy hopes that the established cooperation can be strategic for both parties.
Moreover, Prof. Tomy hopes that this cooperation can open opportunities for students through the internship program that PT IMIP holds. Therefore, he suggests that students make the most of the opportunity.
“I am thrilled with this collaboration plan, both in terms of academics and the opportunity for internships at PT IMIP. Our fellow students must utilize this well,” said Prof. Tomy.
The Management of PT IMIP Risto Wasito said that the implementation of the IMIP Lecture Series was not aimed to introduce the company to the education world. This event can also give information related to workforce provision and internship programs.
Furthermore, Risto also mentioned that scholarships for undergraduate and postgraduate levels would be provided in this event, which Unpad students could obtain.
