Faculty of Psychology Unpad and FSSK UKM Malaysia Collaborate on 2024 Student Mobility Program

[Unpad Media Channel] The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Padjadjaran has successfully conducted a Student Mobility program in collaboration with the Psitra Research Center from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSK) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). This program took place from October 21st to 25th, 2024, as a continuation of UKM students’ internship activities at the Faculty of Psychology, Unpad, from July to September 2024.

Six selected students from Unpad participated in this program are Vhildza Desyana, Zahra Fahrani, Christian Sastra, Arum Kusuma Wardhani, Fanisya Triputri Zahrani, and Clarista Tertia Firjatullah. They are accompanied by two faculty advisors, Dr. Fitriani Yustikasari Lubis, M.Si., Psychologist, and Puspita Adhi Kusuma W, M.Psi., Psychologist.

On the first day, Unpad students attended lectures in the Psychology Program at FSSK UKM, where Faculty of Psychology Unpad lecturers also delivered classroom sessions. Dr. Fitriani Yustikasari Lubis taught the course “The Psychology of Perfectionism” on Monday, October 21st, 2024, and Puspita Adhi Kusuma W. presented the course “School Well-Being” on the same day.

This program has opened up new collaborative opportunities, with further joint initiatives between the Faculty of Psychology Unpad and the Psitra Research Center of FSSK UKM planned for 2025. The following activities took place on October 23rd-24th, 2024, when the six Unpad students, along with two students mentored by Dr. Yus Nugraha, M.A., Psychologist—Finayatus Sa’adah and Rivell Haidar—presented their research findings at the 18th Indonesia-Malaysia National Symposium (SKIM XVIII) 2024.

To conclude the program, students were given a cultural tour on October 25th, 2024, visiting various famous landmarks in Kuala Lumpur, accompanied by UKM students who had previously interned at the Faculty of Psychology, Unpad.

This program, organized with full support from the Unpad Office of International Affairs, is part of an initiative led by Man Belmani. The Faculty hopes that the Student Mobility program will continue to strengthen international academic networks, provide cross-cultural insights and experiences for students, and open up future opportunities for research and educational collaborations.
