It was Art studio of Giri Kerenceng owned by Enang Sugriva known as Abah Olot, who also became the keynote speaker in this time of cultural documentation. Abah Olot is known as Master Karinding since he was one of the pioneers of popular musical instruments karinding since 2004. He had received many awards regarding his activities around karinding and attended Celempungan.

Karinding Celempungan was chosen as the object of cultural documentation because Lises Unpad has never had Karinding Celempungan documentation data. In addition, Karinding Celempungan was a musical instrument that has not been overly exposed whereabouts in Jawa Barat.

“The results of documentation activities are photo albums, papers, and video documentary which later will be published in Lises UNPAD social media well as other social media,” said Novita in her release for PR Unpad.

Lises Unpad hoped that this cultural documentation activities could support musical instruments Karinding Celempungan publication in order for this instrument to be better known by the various parties. Lises Unpad also wanted to preserve the culture by means of documentation. *
