[Unpad.ac.id, 2/03/2016] A total of 65 students of class XI and 10 teachers of Integrated Islam High School (SMAIT) Iqra Bengkulu visited campus Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Wednesday (2/03). The group was received by staff of Public Relations Section and Protocol in Bale Rucita Unpad, Rectorate building Jatinangor.

“We came here to, first, introduce ourself with campus life as a whole, and to collaborate futher so that our students’ in the future can be accepted at Universitas Padjadjaran,” said high school Principal SMAIT Iqra, Apriadi Haryono, M.Pd.Si. , during his speech.
Apriadi explained that students who visited Unpad are the first generation of graduate from SMAIT Iqra. SMAIT Iqra is the first private high school in city of Bengkulu, running for one and a half year old.
During the event, staff of Public Relations Section and Protocol Padjadjaran, Atep Rustandi and Safa Annisaa presented on quick profile and selection of new admissions and video profiles of Universitas Padjadjaran. The information about Unpad was a glimpse of history, facilities, faculty and courses, achievement, as well as a variety of Unpad activities.
“Unpad only admits undergraduate students through SNMPTN and SBMPTN. Any offer of Unpad admission through special channels could be confirmed as fraud,” said Safa during her explanation of Unpad new admissions.
Questions from the students were related to profile and teaching materials in a number of courses at Unpad Padjadjaran. “For more information, you could visit www.unpad.ac.id/fakultaswww.unpad.ac.id/fakultas. You could peruse further about each study programs, and download the faculty handbook, “said Safa.
In addition, students also inquired whether their non-academic achievements could be included as supporting grade in Unpad admission. “Would there be a chance to be enrolled in Unpad for a Quran memorizers like me?” Asked one student.
In response, Unpad team also explained that students’ achievements should be included during SNMPTN registration. “You have equal chances in SNMPTN,” said Safa.
At the end of the event, students received motivation from Bengkulu Unpad students, Muhammad Azhari Marpaung of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Padjadjaran and Hanif Arrazi of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences; both are Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Student Association of Earth Rafflesia (Himamira) Bengkulu at Universitas Padjadjaran.
