At the event Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Unpad with PPSS was signed. The signing was conducted by Yuyu, representing the Rector, and Chairman of PPSS, Dadan Sutisna.
Databases compiling done by PPSS was initially to documents Sundanese literature work of various published authors, from book, various media and magazines. Process documentation involves digitizing physical form of the work to be stored in the data center.
Dadan Sutisna, the initiator of Sundanese literature database, said that literature documentation is a process often forgotten by literature and language activists. In fact, a complete and systematic documentation is an effective effort to preserve the treasures of Sundanese literature.
“Until now there has been no single library that stores complete works of Sundanese literature. Sundanese literature is now still scattered everywhere, “said Dadan.
The lack of complete archive of complete Sundanese literature has inspires Dadan to start complete documentation. The documentation process itself is achieved by scanning samples collected from several sources.

The documentation process is largely completed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of PPSS. The documentation program is called Sundanese Literature Data Center and has covered hundreds of Sundanese authors who has not been previously well documented.
This database preparation is also fully supported by Unpad. Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, through a video feature said that benefits of documentation process is not only for the current generation, but also for future generations.
