[Unpad.ac.id, 13/06/2016] Basketball team of Statistics FMIPA Universitas Padjadjaran won first place in Statistics Sports and Arts Week (OASIS) 2016. The biennial sport and art competition was organized by Statistics Student Association of Indonesian Islamic University (UII) in Yogyakarta UII campus, 20 -22 May 2016 ago. OASIS Week 2016 featured competition of singing, basketball, futsal and badminton with several universities in Indonesia participating.

In addition to the gold winning basketball team, women’s futsal team and badminton team of Statistics Unpad also won silver medals in the competition. The futsal match was decided by penalty shootout against the UB with a final score of 2-1, while the badminton match final had Unpad lost 2-3 from UB.
The basketball competition had 5 participants, namely one team from Statistics Unpad, from UB, and 1 team from Bandung Islamic University. UII as the host had two basketball teams in OASIS week, 2016.
On the first day of the match, Unpad team defeated the UII 2 team with a score of 48 (Unpad) – 11 (UII team 2). The match was resumed in the semi-finals, Unpad against UB that was eventually won by the final score 36 Padjadjaran (Unpad) – 31 (UB).
In the final round, Statistics Unpad basketball team was set against the home team UII team 1. The game were tight until finally Unpad won with score of 31 (Unpad) – 26 (UII tim1), and took home the gold medal.
Women Futsal had 4 participants, namely women’s futsal team from UII, Institut Teknologi Sebelas Nopember Surabaya, University of Brawijaya, and Universitas Padjadjaran, while the badminton match had 9 participants. *
