[Unpad.ac.id, 5/08/2016] Nine teams of Student Creativity Program (PKM) Universitas Padjadjaran are ready to compete in the National Student Science Week (Pimnas) XXIX at Institut Pertanian Bogor, 8-11 August. These teams will be competing against 431 other teams from 144 universities throughout Indonesia.
Pimnas Unpad delegation leader, Dr. Iman Hernaman, M.Si., said that the nine teams are two teams of Eksakta Research PKM scheme (PKM PE), one team of PKM scheme Humanities and Social Research (PKM PSH), two teams PKM scheme of Community Service (PKM M), 1 PKM scheme Enterprise team (PKM K), 1 team PKM scheme Cipta Karsa (PKM KC), 1 team scheme PKM Technology (PKM T), and first team PKM scheme Written Idea (PKM GT).
“Hopefully, we can get into the best 10,” said Dr. Iman during his interview with PR Unpad, Friday (05/08).
According to Dr. Iman, these nine teams have followed a series of preparations, ranging from consolidation of presentation techniques, process of making a poster, analysis of the shortcomings of each team, until Pimnas simulation. Hopefully, through this preparation, the delegation is able to achieve maximum result for Unpad.
In relation to the number of delegates in the previous year, Dr. Iman explained that almost all Pimnas participants also experienced a deterioration in the number of qualifying teams. “This may be a dissemination problem for Pimnas participants from other universities. It is expected not only one university domination but all universities should have a chance to get in Pimnas, “explained Dr. Iman.
In essence, this event is not so much different from previous Pimnas. However, there is one additional activities organized on the sidelines of Pimnas event in IPB, Pimnas Investment Summit (PIS) in 2016. Dr. Iman said that PIS 2016 is an exhibition of various scientific works of students who opened to the public. Unpad sends four titles of research students for the exhibition.
“This is the arena where students’ creative work are given the opportunity to meet with investors. Later, investors would observe and there would be opportunity for mass production,” he explained.
Further, Dr. Iman said, Unpad has good chances to accomplish in Pimnas. “What we must appreciate is a business group of PKM groups. We are optimistic to be the winner in Pimnas, “said Dr. Iman.

- “Homosexuality Issues in Tinky Winky Character in Teletubbies Children TV Series and Its Relation with Deviation of Broadcasting Values of Children Show in Indonesia” PKM scheme PSH;
- “Pendekar: First Aid for Early Accident on Highway With First Aid Training Management Methods in Musculoskeletal Trauma in Effort to Reduce Mortality Due to Traffic Accident in Rural Environment Jatinangor Sumedang Regency” PKM M scheme;
- “Saung Kaulinan Waos: Training Aspects of Cognitive, Affective, and Psychomotor Regarding Dental and Oral Health in Children Village Sukanegla, Jatinangor, Sumedang Through Experiential Games-Based Learning” PKM PSH scheme;
- “Smart Garden (Remote Monitoring System Variables In Plants Using Arduino Microcontroller)” PKM KC scheme;
