Global Insight Presented Information for Studying Abroad and Scholarship

[Unpad.ac.id, 30/08/2016] To broaden academic community of Universitas Padjadjaran of information for further studies and scholarships abroad, through the Directorate of Cooperation Unpad held at Global Insight at Rectorater Building Jatinangor, Tuesday (30/08). A total of 19 representatives of foreign universities and international donors have participated in this event.

“Global insight emphasized more on activities that support academic activities, because it is through this insight we bring the global foreign universities, and supported also by the presence of international donors,” said the Director of Cooperation, Parikesit, M.Sc., Ph .D. during the activities.

At this event, representatives from universities and funding agencies gave presentations on their respective institutions. In addition, representatives from universities and donors also fill booths around the grounds of Rectorate Building, to provide further information services to the academic community Unpad.

“Universities attended to provide exposure, essentially to provide information about their university, as well as how the odds of getting a scholarship from the college each. Later donors would provide support if any of the students or faculty who are interested to continue their studies abroad, will apply for the scholarship through donors who are present today, “said Parikesit.

By this event, Parikesit expected a more open Unpad academic community with the opportunity to study abroad, especially through the scholarship program.

“We also encourage the faculty to have a collaboration with universities abroad in building international joint research,” said Parikesit.

This activity was officially opened by Rector, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, accompanied by Chairman of the Academic Senate Prof. Oekan Soekotjo Abdoellah and the 7th Rector, Prof. Dr. Yuyun Wirasasmita, M.Sc, simultaneously with the opening of the International Day in 2016.

With the opportunity to continue their studies abroad, rector also hoped that this opportunity is not only used to increase the personal capacity, but also to introduce Indonesian culture abroad.

“This activity is an opportunity for those who want to study abroad, not only to improve or develop their personal capacity, but also to introduce Indonesian culture to the global community,” said Rector. *
