[Unpad.ac.id, 26/02/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran continued its program of socialization for SNMPTN, SBMPTN and Unpad Nyaah ka Jabar Program in Bogor, Thursday (25/02). This socialization took place at Hall of SMKN 3 Bogor and attended by Director of Education, Prof. Dr. Budi Setiabudiawan, dr., Sp.A-K., M.Kes. and Head of Selection and Registration Subdivision, Ahmad Baehaqi, S.Si.
This event was attended by several Principals and Guidance Counselling Teacher of SMA/SMK/MA in Bogor and opend by Bogor Head of Middle Level Education Section, Drs. Hj. Jana Sugiana, M.Pd. In her opening speech, Jana hoped that Unpad’s information could be disseminated further to the students by the counseling teachers.
“It is our duty as a teacher to disseminate information of SNMPTN and SBMPTN,” she said.
In addition, she expected counseling teachers to assist students in finding their interests in higher education. ” Counseling Teachers should be able to explain to their students, provide assistance for them in accordance to to their interests, talents, and aspirations,” she said.
Meanwhile, Unpad team gave presentation about mechanism of new admissions, short profile of Universitas Padjadjaran, and Unpad Nyaah ka Jabar program to the participants of socialization.
The team also presented new courses in Unpad, Program Study Veterinary under the Faculty of Medicine. The study program is different from Veterinary Medicine at other universities, because Unpad program study will focus on zoonosis.
“Veterinary Medicine at Unpad will lean more towards zoonosis, which focuses on human diseases caused/in relation to diseases in animals. Hence it is under the Faculty of Medicine, “explained Prof. Budi.
Same with Jana, Prof. Budi also expected that the information would be disseminated further to students who plan to continue their higher education, especially Unpad. Through Unpad Nyaah ka Jabar program, two persons from each of the City/County would be selected as prospective student in each program course at Universitas Padjadjaran.
Prof. Budi also mentioned that Unpad Directorate will perform socialization to 27 City/Regency in West Java, presenting Unpad Nyaah ka Jabar program. Until the end of February 2016 in each District/City, Director and Dean of Unpad would give a presentation. “The overall response for each District/Municipality was excellent,” he said.*
