[Unpad.ac.id, 27/01/2016] Program of Unpad Nyaah ka Jabar is expected to increase Human Development Index (HDI) in suburban. This was stated by Ad-interm Regent of Indramayu, Ir. Toto H. Muh Toha during Socialization of SNMPTN and SBMPTN 2016 by Universitas Padjadjaran in Indramayu District Education Office Hall, Tuesday (26/01).
“With Program Unpad Nyaah ka JaBar, we expect increase in Human Development Index,” said Toto.
In response, Director of Governance and Public Communication Universitas Padjadjaran, Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim, M.Si stated that it is Unpad’s commitment to improve Human Development Index in West Java, by increasing rate of enrollment of through Program UUnpad Nyaah ka Jawa Barat.
“To improve HDI, university enrollment rate should be increased,” said Dr. Soni.
Further, Dr. Soni said that, Unpad Nyaah ka JaBar is a form of Unpad’s concern for people of West Java. “Unpad is strongly committed to people of West Java. This is emphasized by tagline “From West Java to the World, through SDGs,” he said.
Along with Dr. Soni, the team of Admission Selection for Universitas Padjadjaran (SMUP) Dr. Dudi, S.Pt., M.Si expected that Program Unpad Nyaah ka JaBar to provide benefits. “This program is expected to provide benefits and HDI will increase, “said this lecturer Faculty of Animal Husbandry Unpad.
Meanwhile, Dean of Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Universitas Padjadjaran University, Dr. Ir. Iskandar., M. Si stated that Indramayu showed tremendous potential and could be developed. Unpad invited the best youth of Indramayu to enroll as students of Universitas Padjadjaran, through Program Unpad Nyaah ka Jabar.
“Why Unpad Nyaah ka JaBar? It is because Unpad was born from West Java community, “said Dr. Iskandar.
During the event, in presence of socialization participants, Dr. Dudi explained Enrollment Selection Padjadjaran University scheme in details. He explained that Unpad open enrollment of new students through National Selection Entrance State University (SNMPTN) and Joint Selection Entrance State University (SBMPTN).
“Only these two scheme are available, both transparent and accountable, through SNMPTN and SBMPTN,” said Dr. Dudi.
Regarding study program choice, Dr. Soni also emphasized prospective students should choose courses according to their interest instead of other influence from others.
“If one’s interest is into Study Program A but receiving influence to apply for Study Program B instead, it will affect to quality and achievements of one’s study,” said Dr. Soni.
In addition, students also must be mindful in choosing a study program. During selection, one should pay attention to capacity and degree of difficulty in the respective study program.
The event was attended by hundreds of students, number of teachers and school principals SMA, SMK, and MA throughout Indramayu regency. Also present during the event occasion are Head of Indramayu District Education Office, Dr. HM Ali Hasan, M.Pd., Head of Secondary Education Indramayu district, Drs. H. Kasno Hadikusumo, M.Pd., and Head of Sub Division Selection and Registration Unviersitas Padjadjaran, Ahmad Baehaqi, S.Si, MT.
