Unpad Faculty of Dentistry was established on 1st September 1959, based on the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture No. 85633/S. Unpad Faculty of Dentistry was established thanks to Unpad Faculty of Dentistry Establishment Committee which involves Prof. Dr. R. Moestopo, Prof. Soeria Soemantri, MPH., R. Soeriadiredja, dr. Chasan Boesoeri, and Prof. Dr. Naubaeuer.
Since 2003, Unpad Faculty of Dentistry has opened international classes which implements student active learning with problem based learning method. The students are from other countries, mostly from Malaysia. Then in the same year, Unpad Faculty of Dentistry also had its own Dental Hospital at the campus in Sekeloa which is a development of Student Work Clinic.
Vision:
To be an excellent higher education in dentistry science which is fully committed to uphold Pancasila and Constitution1945, through various researches so it can apply, develop, and master dental science and technologies, to support national development in facing global competition.
Mission:
Carrying out the function of high educational institution in dentistry, with environmental perspective, in order to produce professional experts who are:
- Having high capacity as scientists, and able to apply and update the science and technology of dentistry as researcher, thinkers, and developer.
- Professional, able to apply science and improving the quality of human resources.
- Having high human value and able to be public figures for the society around them.
