Unpad offers qurbani of 4 cows on behalf of its employees of rank I and II

[Unpad.ac.id, 16/10/2013] In celebrating Eid al-Adha, Unpad provided assistance of sacrificial animals to 28 of its employees of rank I and II. The slaughter was carried out in the courtyard of Unpad Health Center, Jl. No. Dipati Ukur. No. 46 Bandung, on Wednesday (16/10).

We do this every year. This year four cows are offered for qurbani, so there are 28 employees who receive assistance, “said the Head of Human Resources, Law, and Governance Department of Unpad, Drs. Sudarma, MM.

The event was attended by Unpad rector, Prof. Ganjar Kurnia, vice rector for learning and student affairs, Prof. Engkus Kuswarno, and vice rector for human resources, infrastructure and governance, Prof.. Roni Kastaman.

Last year, Unpad also offered 4 cows for qurbani on behalf of its employees of rank I and II. This annual event is expected to awaken the sense of togetherness among Unpad academic community. “We feel compelled to give both moral and spiritual guidance. It is a form of religious worship and therefore it is our obligation to offer a qurban,” said Sudarma.

One employee who received qurban support this year is Amar Sanusi, who works a housekeeping staff in Unpad rectorate building. “I am very grateful for it. With this, hopefully, I personally can improve in worship and also bring barakah for many people,” expressed Sanusi, gratefully.

The same thing was expressed by an academic staff of Unpad Faculty of Arts, who also received qurban support, Rahmat Sulaiman, “I’m very happy I can offer a qurban this year. I’m very grateful for this. Hopefully, more fellow employees can receive qurban support,” he said.

The Eid prayer was held in Unpad north parking lot, jl. Dipati Ukur 35, Bandung, and Ibn Sina mosque in Jatinangor on Tuesday (15/10). Acted as imam and khatib inthe former location was Prof. Dr. Jaja Sam’un, and Dr. H. A. A. Handaka Suryana, MT in the later location. *
