[Unpad.ac.id, 16/06/2016] Candidate of Lecturer Non Civil Servant Universitas Padjadjaran received their Decree of Appointment as Lecturer Candidates in Multipurpose Room Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, Wednesday (15/06). The SK presentation was conducted by Personnel Section to 129 Candidate of Lecturers.

Director of Human Resources Unpad Diana Sari, S.E., M.Mgt., PhD, said the decree was the legal document for a period of orientation before becoming a Lecturer. The orientation is determined by the category selection results obtained by the reception at the end of March.

Met during the ceremony, Diana explained that prospective lecturers are divided into three categories: Category A and B, as well as category C. Category A and B will undergo six month orientation period, starting from March to September. As for category C the orientation period will be one year until next February.

“One of our policies is that in accordance with the support of the Department and Faculty the orientation can be accelerated. Thus it is possible for category A and B, the fastest can be appointed this month, while the C category would be September,” said Diana.

Further, this Lecturer of Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unpad said that the decree also become legal evidence for Candidates to receive a salary. The salary components, in accordance with the university statutes, include basic salary adjusted for education, meal allowance, as well as remuneration. Meal allowance is based on fingerprint attendance that must be performed by Candidate Lecturer at the faculty.

“We have updated the fingerprint machine in each faculty. This (attendance data) is the basis of meal allowance amount, “said Diana.

sk nonpnsIn relation with remuneration, Diana explained that at the moment the amount of remuneration not based on performance as on civil servants. For Candidate Lecturer, remuneration will be given in single amount, equal to other Non PNS Prospective Unpad Employees.

Therefore, she asked for every Lecturer candidates to re-examine their decree about their credentials, and the date of the inauguration of the SK. “If there is a typo, it can be immediately fixed by the Personnel Section Officer,” she said.

Candidates will also be encouraged to continue their studies, especially abroad. “We will do the mapping of Lecturer Candidates aged 35 years and below to be encouraged to continue their study abroad. Even as directed by the Rector, they will receive assignment to study abroad, “said Diana.

Unpad will provide facilities by cooperation with a variety of scholarships to study abroad. Diana said that now Unpad has been working with the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP) for the full scholarship program abroad.

In addition to encouragement to study abroad, Candidate should also begin to understand the three responsibilities of Higher Education. “It is not the same with the time when they are still lecturer with only teaching obligation. By becoming a Candidate Lecturer, besides teaching, they also need to perform research and community engagement, “said Diana. *
